Who We Are.

We exist to help lead people to become fully devoted followers of Jesus Christ!
That's how we're able to make a difference, and it's
the driving force behind everything we do.

Your Life

Wherever you are in life, you matter and you have a purpose. We want to help you become the person God has created you to be. Your journey has a next step and we'll help you find it. It could start with serving, finding God's vision for your life, giving, or joining us regularly.
You don't have to take the next step alone. With a strong community of friends, you can laugh, grow, and serve with people who genuinely care about you. Find a small group, or LifeGroup, to join you on your journey.

Your Family

Strong families start with solid foundations. That's why we partner with parents to help raise the next generation to become followers of Christ. Your children and teens have opportunities throughout the week to grow relationships with each other and with God.

Our Community and World

We are passionate about serving the global community and demonstrating God's love to others. Whether in person or online, individually or in groups, within our church and around the world, we are focused on supporting and engaging
in relationships that provide relief and restoration to a hurting world.

GFN Church is a member of the Global Church of the Nazarene

GFN stands for Greenville First Nazarene.

The Church of the Nazarene is a Protestant Christian church in the Wesleyan-Holiness tradition, tracing its roots to an anniversary date of 1908. It was founded to spread the message of scriptural holiness (Christlike living) across our world. Today the Church of the Nazarene is located in 162 world areas.
The Church of the Nazarene is a Great Commission church. Our mission is to make Christlike disciples in the nations. We believe that God offers to everyone forgiveness, peace, joy, purpose, love, meaning in life, and eternal life by entering and experiencing a personal relationship with God through Jesus Christ. We are called to take this message to people everywhere.

We are a Christian People.

As members of the Church Universal, we join with all true believers in proclaiming the Lordship of Jesus Christ and in embracing the historic Trinitarian creedal statements of Christian faith. We value our Wesleyan-Holiness heritage and believe it to be a way of understanding the faith that is true to Scripture, reason, tradition, and experience.

We are a Holiness People.

God, who is holy, calls us to a life of holiness. We believe that the Holy Spirit seeks to do in us a second work of grace, called by various terms including "entire sanctification" and "baptism with the Holy Spirit"-cleansing us from all sin, renewing us in the image of God, empowering us to love God with our whole heart, soul, mind, and strength, and our neighbors as ourselves, and producing in us the character of Christ. Holiness in the life of believers is most clearly understood as Christlikeness.

We are a Missional People.

We are a sent people, responding to the call of Christ and empowered by the Holy Spirit to go into all the world, witnessing to the Lordship of Christ and participating with God in the building of the Church and the extension of His kingdom (Matthew 28:19-20; 2 Corinthians 6:1). Our mission (a) begins in worship, (b) ministers to the world in evangelism and compassion, (c) encourages believers toward Christian maturity through discipleship, and (d) prepares women and men for Christian service through Christian
higher education.
